Gatore ki Chhatriyan
Surrounded by the Nahargarh fort walls on one side and the city of Jaipur on the other, Gatore ki Chhatriyan is a royal crematorium located 6.5km from Jaipur. The complex consists of some temples and tombs. It follows the Vedic form of architecture along with Indo-Persian building influences.
The complex also has several cenotaphs dedicated to each of the rulers cremated here. Gatore ki Chhatriyan is mainly visited by architecture and history lovers to study the vastness of the structure. People also visit this place with their families to spend a great time in the arms of nature. You can also enjoy the panoramic view of the entire city of Jaipur.

Garh Ganesh temple
This 18th-century temple is dedicated to lord Ganesha. It is believed that lord Ganesha is present in this temple in the form of a child (Purushakriti). Garh Ganesha Temple is located at a distance of approximately 8km from Jaipur. The temple is located on top of the Aravalli hills near Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort.
Thousands of pilgrims visit the Garh Ganesh temple each year to pray and seek help from god. The temple was built before the establishment of Jaipur by King Swai jai singh II during the ceremony of “Ashwamegha yagya”. He also placed the statue of lord Ganesha in such a way that it will be visible from the Chandra Mahal of the City Palace with binoculars. Visit and experience the mesmerizing beauty of the Garh Ganesh temple.

Amer fort
Amer Fort is located in Amer, Rajasthan, and is at a distance of 11km approximately from Jaipur. Being located on top of the hills, the Amer Fort is one of the most visited tourist attractions of Jaipur. The fort overlooks maota lake and is famous for its architecture with large ramparts and cobbled pathways along with several gates. The Amer fort is the best example of Rajputana architecture while some of the buildings have Mughal influence too. The fort is made out of red sandstone and marble and has four levels with a courtyard on each level. The Amer Fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site along with five other locations in Rajasthan. Apart from viewing the grandeur of the fort, you can also enjoy the light and sound show each evening near the fort. You can also shop for handicrafts and artifacts here or take an elephant ride inside the fort.

Jaigarh fort
Jaigarh fort is located on top of the Aravalli hills over the head of “Cheel ka Teela” (the hill of eagles0. It is approximately 15km from Jaipur. The jaguar fort was built in 1726 to protect the Amer Fort and its complex. It is also known as the “Victory Fort” and follows the same architecture as that of Amer Fort. The fort is located 500 ft from Sealevel and overlooks Maota Lake. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh Ii. it showcases a canon named ‘Jaiwana’ which used to be the world’s largest cannon on wheels. The fort complex also includes an armory and a museum.

Sisodia rani garden
Located at a distance of approximately 10km from Jaipur, the Sisodia Rani Garden was built as a gift from Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh for his second wife. It is the largest garden in Jaipur. The garden is designed in the Charbagh- styled and influenced by Mughal architecture. It is a multi-layered palace that includes pavilions, shrines, murals, frescoes, paintings, and fountains. Sisodia rani bagh was built in the year 1728. The spires and pavilions of the garden are built in Indian architectural styles and they showcase the life of lord Krishna in the form of paintings along with Hindu motifs.

Vidyadhar Garden
Vidyadhar Garden is located on the Jaipur – Agra highway close to the Sisodia rani ka bagh. The garden is taken care of by the Rajasthan government and is one of the best-maintained gardens in Jaipur. It is the best place to view peacocks and monkeys.
The garden was built in 1988 in memory of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya – the chief architect of the city of Jaipur. It is designed as per the principles of “Shilpa Shastra” – based on Hindu principles of arts and design. The architecture is a mix of Mughal, Rajasthani, and classical Indian architecture. The Vidyadhar garden is famous for its fountains, flower beds, terraced lawns, lakes with clear water, and pavilions. The pavilion walls depict the life of lord Krishna and Hindu mythologies.

Panna Meena ka Kund
The Panna meena kund is a stepwell located in the Amer city of Rajasthan. There are about 2000 step-wells in India and Jaipur houses almost 100 of them, Panna Meena Kund being one of them. The Panna meena kund also goes by other names such as “Panna Mian kund” and “Panna Meena Baori”.
The stepwell is visited by thousands of visitors each year and is the only functional and fully restored stepwell in Rajasthan. The stepwell is 200m deep and it is filled with water throughout the year. The legends say that the stepwell dates back to the 16th century when water pipeline systems were still not available. The Panna Meena Kund used to supply water to the locals.

Galta ji Temple
Galta ji temple is located 10km east of Jaipur. It has great historical significance and is a highly sacred pilgrimage site. The complex of the Galta Ji temple consists of seven temples, Galta Ji being the main temple. These temples are located in the Aravalli mountains within a narrow crevice of the mountain pass. It was built by Diwan Rao Kriparam in the 18th century.
The temple complex also includes a few kunds for the bathing of the pilgrims. These kunds are filled naturally with spring water each year. The highlight of the Galta Ji temple complex is the monkeys and there is a specific temple dedicated to the monkeys called “Monkey Temple” or “Galwar Bagh”. The temple experiences heavy footfall during makar sankranti and kartik poornima due to its cultural significance. Apart from that, you can also experience the sunset and hike the hiking train near the temple complex.

Chokhi Dhani
Chokhi Dhani is a mock village located 20km from Jaipur. It was set up in 1989 over a land of 10 acres. Chokhi Dhani is a mock representation of Rajasthani culture, food, traditions, and heritage. The name “Chokhi Dhani” translates to “Rajasthani Culture”. The village was designed specifically to introduce its visitors to Rajasthani culture and heritage.
During your visit to Chokhi Dhani, you can experience – the Haldighati Battle (reliving the ancient past of Rajputs through a play of the battle), Rath Khana (representation of Chariots used by the royals of Rajput during old times), temples of Chokhi Dhani (there is a replica of Vaishno Devi Temple with artificial waterfall, Balaji Temple, Jungle Devta Temple, Ganesh Temple, etc), animal and cart rides, cultural shows and performances by locals (like Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, etc), Bamboo acrobatics, Terah Thali Dance, traditional fire act, and so on.
The complex also has a national museum displaying the vibrant culture of each state of India.

Sanganer
Located 16km south of Jaipur, Sanganer is a small town in Rajasthan. The village is famous for textile printing, the handmade paper industry, and Jain temples. Sanganer is visited by many visitors for its famous Sanganer prints which are patterns printed on white backgrounds with bold bright colors. The place is also widely popular for craft workshops where the locals sell their traditional Bagru textile prints.
Apart from handicrafts, Sanganer is also known as an important pilgrimage town for the Jain community. The town houses the Digambar Jain Temple which has intricate carvings that resemble the Dilawar Temple of Mount Abu. The temple is made of red sandstone and was completed in the 10 century AD.
Anokhi Museum of hand printing
Another museum of hand printing is located 16km approximately from Jaipur. It is draped in pink sandstone walls. The museum follows typical Mughal and Rajasthani architecture showcasing a blend of the two styles. It is dedicated to hand block printing – one of the oldest and region-specific artform. The museum also displays a permanent collection of their artworks called “Anokhi Archives”. The archive consists of more than 100 garments, carving blocks, block-printed textiles, etc.
The other museum of hand printing dates back to the 1960s. The museum also has a display of home furniture items used back in the time.

Bagru
Bagru is yet another small village located 35 km from Jaipur, on the Jaipur – Ajmer road. Bagru is famous for its classical wooden block printing. The prints here are called “Bagru prints”. The village serves as Rajasthan’s craft center and it is also widely popular for its ecological presence and use of traditional dyes. The village of Bagru is a major attraction for tourists as the villagers have still kept their ancient craft style alive.
Samode Palace
Samode Palace is an ancient palace that carries a history of around 475 years. It is currently a palace turned into a heritage hotel. The Samode palace follows the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture mixed with Mughal and Indian styles. It is a perfect paradise for not only culture lovers, but also for architecture lovers. Samode Palace is located 41km from Jaipur and it falls in the Chomu district. It is a perfect amalgamation of the vulture, heritage, architecture, royalty, and hospitality of Rajasthan. During your stay at the Samode palace, you can also enjoy lunch at the courtyard restaurant and dive into the royal feel.
Elefriend
Elefriend is a private elephant park. It is located 13km from Jaipur. For animal lovers, Elefriend acts as a perfect gateway. The park allows its visitors to feed, hug, paint, wash, shower, and touch the elephants. You can also take a ride on these elephants. The elephants here are trained and they are extremely friendly.
